Arundel, ME Fire Damage Cleanup and Restoration

We are so happy to be serving Arundel and its year-round residents as well as those with second homes in the area.  The owners of SERVPRO of Biddeford-Saco, Matt and Lisa True, moved to Arundel shortly after purchasing the Franchise realizing what a great location and sense of community.  When the franchise first opened they rented out the only commercial space built for the business in Saco but quickly realized it was a temporary move as all our needs were not met.  After much discussion and planning they decided to build their dream shop in Arundel.  Like any project it didn't come without set-backs and long days putting in over time but it was all worth it in the end.  Arundel has truly become home for Matt and Lisa and the entire SERVPRO of Biddeford-Saco team.  It is such a welcoming community and despite seeing such great growth it still maintains that small town charm.  We are so happy to help serve the residents and businesses of such a wonderful community.

Our Fire Restoration Process

Every fire damage event is a little different and requires a unique solution, but the general process stays the same. The steps listed below illustrate our process for the “typical” fire damage emergency.

Step 1: Emergency Contact

The fire restoration process begins when you call us. Our consultant will guide you through the crisis and may ask several questions to help us better understand the type of fire damage you experienced, determining the equipment and resources needed.

Step 2: Inspection and Fire Damage Assessment

We determine the scope of the fire and smoke damage by examining the affected areas and by testing the adjoining rooms for smoke and soot damage. An accurate assessment is crucial to the planning process.

Step 3: Immediate Board-Up and Roof-Tarp Service (if needed)

Fire damage can often compromise windows, walls, and roofs. To maintain security and to protect against further damage, we can board up missing windows and walls and place tarps on damaged roofs.

Step 4: Water Removal and Drying (if water damage is present)

If needed, we can begin the water removal process with powerful pumps and extraction units. This removes most of the water. We complete the water removal and drying process with industrial-strength dehumidifiers and air movers.

Step 5: Removal of Smoke and Soot from All Surfaces

Your property’s ceiling, walls, floors, and other surfaces will likely have smoke and soot residue. We’ll use specialized cleaning products, equipment, and techniques to properly clean your home or business.

Step 6: Cleaning and Sanitizing

We clean and sanitize the restorable items and structures damaged by the fire. Our professionals use a variety of cleaning techniques to restore your belongings to pre-fire condition. We’re also trained to remove odors using industrial air scrubbers and fogging equipment.

Step 7: Restoration

Restoration is the final step—getting your home or business to its pre-fire condition. Restoration may involve minor repairs, such as replacing drywall, painting, and installing new carpet; or it may entail major repairs such as the reconstruction of various areas or rooms in a home or business.
